Great article!! I am a retired nurse so I was surrounded by life and death for many years which gave me different perspectives on living life to the fullest and enjoying relationships in a special way. I was able to “ let go” to those who who passed knowing they are in a better place but always are with me which shows in specific circumstances throughout shared experiences each day. I love that you shared such a unique thought , most tend to shy away from this topic. Kudos!! I knew I was drawn to you for a reason! Stay present for you and those that have a place in your heart. They are still with you forever!!
That’s such a beautiful perspective - thank you for sharing! It’s crazy how experiences like yours shape the way we see life, love, and loss. I admire your outlook! Thank you for your kind words!
Thanks Nina! Happy to share with you and your awesome community! Please keep your amazing posts, thoughts and inspirational ideas posting forward . I learn so much…never too old to meet a new friend. You go girl…keep that inner strength alive!!
Beautiful post and a beautiful way to stay connected to the past, culture and traditions your Grandpa followed. I try to keep something alive from my past. Could be their favorite snack, favorite phrase, even a jewelry or clothing that they loved. This way they are always present.
Deepest sympathies to you Dear Nina. I don’t remember my grandparents much but I lost a brother very young and 40 years ago. He still lives in my heart all the time and I truly still grieve for him. He was my friend too who looked after me. Grief is individual but always with unique perspectives given the uniqueness of the lost loved ones. Peace to you and your family, I wish you only peace🩷
Grief really does stay with us in different ways. Thank you for your kind words and for sharing something so personal. Wishing you peace and comfort always.

I completely agree - it’s nice to take something with you and blend it into your own life.
