Book Of The Month: The Tenant
This month’s book is The Tenant by Freida McFadden, and I loved it. It’s one of those books that makes it easy to keep going, which is exactly what I prefer.
I’m also realizing I’ve found my way back to Freida McFadden books again, and it makes sense. Her writing is straightforward, the pacing is quick, and she knows how to keep you curious without making it complicated. When I’m busy or my brain is tired, I don’t always want a slow build or something super heavy. I want a story that holds my attention and doesn’t let it go. Something that makes you forget whatever was on your mind.
I’m not going to give away the plot because it’s better if you go in knowing as little as possible. What I can say is that it’s a thriller that keeps moving. The chapters are the kind where you think, “Let me just read one more,” and suddenly you’ve read way more than you planned. There are enough twists to keep it interesting, but it never feels confusing.
What I liked most is that it keeps you guessing without trying too hard. You’re reading and you think you know where it’s going, and then you start questioning things. I also like that it doesn’t feel dragged out. It gets to the point, but it still feels like a proper story.
If you like thrillers that are easy to read, quick, and genuinely entertaining, I’d recommend it. Especially if you’ve been in a reading slump or you just want something you can finish without it becoming a project.
If you’ve read The Tenant, tell me what you thought, and if you have another Freida McFadden book you think I should read next, I’m open to suggestions!

Thanks 🙏 I’ll check that out!
