Book of the Month: Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King
So I picked up this book and after reading it, it feels like someones shook my shoulders and said, ‘Get it together.’ Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King was this months read. It’s like self help, but without the overcomplicated advice you get from most books.
This book is basically a reminder that your energy (which in my opinion is your actual vibe) has the power to shape your life. Vex talks a lot about self love, manifesting, and the importance of setting boundaries, but he does it in a way that feels very 2025, very we have lives to live, so here’s the shortcut.
One part that really stuck with me was the idea that self love isn’t just spa days and a few eye masks at home. It’s also the boring stuff, like saying no to people who drain you, eating like you care about your body, moving it so it doesn’t break down on you, and not trash talking yourself when you mess up.
And the book has this way of making you pause. Like, you’re reading along, nodding, having your coffee, then you read a line about how your mindset is probably the reason your goals feel so unreachable.
It’s simple, practical, and it leaves you feeling like you can actually make small changes that add up. If you’ve been in a bit of a weird space lately or just need a mindset refresh, this book is the equivalent of someone lighting a candle, opening the windows, and airing out the negative energy in your brain.
If you’ve read it before, let me know if it made you feel the same way. And if you haven’t, I highly recommend it. It’s the kind of book you can dip in and out of whenever you need a little reset.
Book of the Month: The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins
So, this month’s pick is a little different because it’s one of those books that’s been everywhere online…The Let Them Theory by Mel Robbins. If you’ve been on Instagram lately, you’ve probably heard the premise in one sentence: stop trying to control everything and everyone, and just…let them.
