I'm in! Reading more was actually one of my new year's resolutions. I decided to start with ones that are real page turners. One and 1/2 books down so far. Right now I'm reading a psychological thriller called Close your Eyes by Teresa Driscoll, a journalist from Devon, UK.
I read another one of hers first, I Am Watching You. I plowed through it. A lot of easy- read books can be written so poorly, I can't read them, and start eye- rolling. But hers are well-written IMO.
I have ADHD so it’s almost impossible to be able to sit with no stimulation for a period of time and concentrate on what I’m trying to read. However I’d like to try this and o already know which book I will start with as I received it last month. It’s called “Let Them” by Mel Robbins and I’m hoping to at least start it before the end of January! Haven’t been able one the time or motivation to start yet. It is highly rated and recommend by all. Of you have or plan on reading this too let me know what you think. Thanks for the inspiration.
I’ve got that book on my book wish list! If you read it before me, would love to know how you get on with it. Glad it’s got you thinking about reading - as difficult as it may be, even attempting it is a good effort!
I love your YouTube videos! I’m subscribed to you on it. And I read page one of Let Them so far. Yeah not what I was hoping for but not giving up yet. I even got the Let Them tattoo on my arm last week. If you only knew my story…! Btw I love your spirit and you are gorgeous! Women supporting women!
Oh you must do it. I’m all about women supporting women. If you knew how many have tried to take me down in my life, including my own sister unfortunately, you may be surprised. It’s so sad. I’m all about supporting others, especially women no matter how hard my situation may be. I feel like it’s my calling or duty. Please update me on this new group of yours. Any help I can be in New York in the US feel free to reach out to me if you’re in need. I’d love to contribute!
Thanks Danielle, so sorry to hear you’ve been through tough times with family! Unfortunately I hear a lot about this kind of stuff and it’s extremely disheartening. I’ll keep you posted about this!
That’s a great goal. I love reading however I haven’t read a book in quite some time. So this year I’m actually trying to read more books. So I’m starting with a book my cousin recommended. I love mystery and horror books but I have read all kinds of topics from self help books to meditation books to funny books. I bought this book last year which I read from time to time called Beat Cancer Daily. It’s full of advice and habits to incorporate into your life. I try to read a page everyday when I can. It has spirituality and health advice. The next book I’m going to read is called Mexican Gothic and it’s a bit of a horror book about a haunting. I will definitely look to what your reading and your recommendations and yes would love a little book club. My cousin goes to one every month.
I'm not sure I can commit to horror! I may actually try it out though - would be interesting to see how it reads when you compare it to movies. Reading one page a day out of an inspiring book is a good idea - no major commitment, but you still get some inspo for the day.
My Audible library is full of so much random stuff, but I did recently complete, The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel. I shall read, The Diary of a CEO. Stevens podcasts are next level mind provoking. The one he did with Vanessa Van Edwards about a month ago had me hooked the entire time. Highly recommend it.
Hi Ruby, I'll take a look, at The Psychology of Money (I actually think I have this on my book list), but looking forward to you reading The Diary of a CEO - great life and business advice. I don't actually watch or listen to many of his podcasts, but I'll give this one a go.

A thriller actually sounds great - I'll look into this book!

I’m so glad you enjoy my work! I’ve heard mixed reviews about ‘Let Them’. I’m excited to build and grow this community to one huge supportive network!
