That's why we follow you!!! Actually, I never dreamed of getting 'different primer, different base, ' to use on a day to day basis! It was that 'ah-ha' moment. Because at times things would look good, sometimes the same primer and foundation would look off?! When you explained that our skin changes daily the product we use changes to meet the need of our skin that day! Don't stop being you!
I like your way of thinking and the way you educated about make up. Every women should feel comfortable in the akin care and make up wearing for herself!
I’ve always preferred a more glam look. Or sophisticated look. So I agree. I don’t care what’s in. I like long eyelashes ( my own are long ) and always eyeliner. I do my whole face every day. Don’t care who likes it. I do 😊

Niña, you’re The BEST! You just eloquently put into words what I’ve been thinking as I scroll through TikTok etc. where some presentations of makeup are really bad, outlandish or wrong —-such as the fork one you described!
When I was young, I used to wear jet black hair, Cleopatra eye makeup, etc. in the 1960’s. In addition to looks changing, we change as we age, and what may have been OK when we were young is awful. If so were to continue with jet black hair now, I’d look like a Witch! And the same goes for dark red lipstick, thick black eyeliner etc. I’ve had to soften & lighten my look a lot. We are blessed with performance products that didn’t exist then.
I believe makeup should enhance our features so we look beautiful, and how we achieve this changes, not primarily with trends, but primarily according to how we personally change. We didn’t know anything about contouring then! We didn’t really have what to do it with & only movie makeup artists & those working on models did it! Today we all benefit from these techniques. What I love about you, and I’m sure I speak for all of us, is that you teach us good makeup techniques which we can apply to our own particular requirements to look the best we can—-aesthetically the best—-it’s timeless & can be adapted to current trends with the caveat, if appropriate! Those who follow you become connoisseurs of good or bad techniques or procedures! You enable us to apply critical thinking to makeup application & give us options to apply the makeup depending on our individual preferences and/or requirements. Those of us who follow you are discerning & aware, thanks to the knowledge you impart between good makeup applications & some of the crazy, bizarre, or outrageously poor makeup application videos we are bombarded with. I love makeup. Like Valerie, I prefer the glam look. At 80, if you don’t do it right, it can look disastrous! Applying what I’m learning from you, I always get compliments. I’m a lousy photographer especially for selfies so I can’t really share how really good the outcomes are. Perhaps when I do a video with Cassia, I’ll be able to share with you the fabulous looks I achieve thanks to you!❤️
