Welcome to your 40s. This is where your skin starts sending you mixed signals.
You wake up one day and your serum that always had your back is suddenly making you look…tired, dull, and like you just came back from a night out you didn’t even have.
Here’s everything no one told you (but should’ve):
1. Your Skin Starts Producing Less Oil…But Not Less Problems
Just when you think you’ve left breakouts behind, they make a comeback…except now they’re mixed with dryness and texture. So while your T-zone might still get shiny, your cheeks are suddenly thirsty.
Tip: Switch to a hydrating cleanser and stop using anything that leaves your skin squeaky clean. That’s actually stripping your moisture from your skin.
2. Retinol Isn’t Optional Anymore
You can get away without it in your 20s and 30s, but in your 40s it’s your ride-or-die. This will help you more than you think!
Tip: Start with a lower strength if you’re new, buffer it with moisturizer, and consistency > strength.
