How many times have you heard someone say ‘I manifested it’? I’ve heard it countless times and it either irritates me or inspires me…but that all depends on the person telling me. I’ve come across people who genuinely believe manifesting is just thinking things into reality and this is where I disagree. If you don’t add action to this process of manifestation then you're less likely to make things happen. I believe in manifesting dreams into reality but I’m also very aware it has more to do with your actions than your thoughts.
What is Manifestation?
At its core, manifestation is the process of bringing your thoughts, beliefs, and intentions into reality. It involves aligning your thoughts and emotions with the outcomes you desire, thereby attracting those outcomes into your life. Manifestation operates on the principle that like attracts like, meaning that the energy you emit—whether positive or negative—will be reflected back to you in the form of experiences, opportunities, and circumstances.
The Power of Intention
Central to the process of manifestation is the power of intention. Intentions are the thoughts, beliefs, and desires that you consciously focus on and energize with your attention and emotions. When you set clear and specific intentions for what you want to manifest in your life, you activate the creative power of the universe to bring those desires into fruition. This is often referred to as the Law of Attraction, which states that similar energies attract each other.
Aligning Thoughts, Emotions, and Actions
As I mentioned earlier, manifestation is not simply about wishful thinking or positive affirmations; it requires alignment between your thoughts, emotions, and actions. This means cultivating a mindset of positivity, gratitude, and abundance while also taking inspired action towards your goals. By aligning your thoughts and emotions with the outcomes you desire and taking intentional steps towards those outcomes, you create a powerful synergy that accelerates the manifestation process.
Visualization and Creative Visualization
Visualization is a key technique used in manifestation to mentally rehearse achieving your goals and desires. By vividly imagining yourself experiencing the outcomes you desire, you activate the same neural pathways in your brain as you would if you were actually experiencing those outcomes. This can help reinforce positive beliefs, boost confidence, and increase motivation, making it more likely for you to take inspired action towards your goals. Creative visualization takes this a step further by incorporating sensory details and emotions to make the visualization experience more vivid and impactful.
Practicing Gratitude and Detachment
Another important aspect of manifestation is practicing gratitude and detachment. Gratitude helps to shift your focus from what you lack to what you already have, thereby raising your vibration and attracting more positive experiences into your life. Detachment involves letting go of attachment to specific outcomes and trusting in the process of manifestation. By surrendering control and allowing the universe to work its magic, you open yourself up to receiving abundance in unexpected ways.
By setting clear intentions, aligning your thoughts, emotions, and actions, and practicing visualization, gratitude, and detachment, you can manifest your desires into reality.
I hate the word manifestation, especially after reading a dozen books on the subject. I prefer to say, "I'm vibing in the present"... As for practicing gratitude, 100% agree. I asked my little 6 year old neice what are you grateful for? She starts off with the Barbie dolls, the iPad, etc... Then she realised, the friends, the food on the table, the lift to school... Start them off young I say!
