The ultimate Fall nail guide
Fall is coming, and it’s the perfect time to experiment with every shade of nude.
I’ll be honest, my color for every season is neutral, and no matter how many times I visit the salon in the hope that this time I may just be experimental and she’s a bright color, I always end up opting for a neutral shade. Every visit to the salon consists of the nail technician handing me a huge selection of colors to choose from, yet she knows this visit won’t be any different from the previous visit and I’ll end up choosing the same beige shade that I always go for.
Yet somehow I still get excited when we get to fall because, in my own little way, I become experimental with the type of neutral shade I go for. I know that the average person who loves colors will probably feel like fall colors are a bit boring, but I want to share with you exactly how you can change up your nail shade while keeping within the neutral range for fall.
One piece of advice I would give for neutral shades is that you should try to avoid shades that are very close to your skin color. Every time I've tried these types of nail shades, it just looks like I have no fingernails, so I always test them out before jumping right in. I rounded up the best neutral shades for every type of person so that nude doesn’t have to be boring.
Espresso Brown
This is a great option for a bold, neutral look. Even though this still falls within the neutral category, it’s beautifully bold and suits most skin tones. There are also so many types of nail art designs you could opt for, such as tortoiseshell or a marble effect, to make it interesting.
Greige
Opting for a high-contrast shade can give you that pop without the color. This is a great option if you have a darker skintone and want a shade that lifts your nails rather than darkens them.
Nude French Mani
I love this type of nail color because it's ultimately a French manicure but broken up by using a nude French tip rather than white. Try using different shades of nudes to elevate your nails.
Latte Nails
A spin-off from the latte makeup trend that works for your nails.
Classic Nude
Go for a classic nude shade, whether it be a pinkish nude or beige nude, for a subtle nail color that suits any outfit.
Reverse Nude French Manicure
This is another spin-off from the classic French manicure. Opt for a neutral base such as brown and an off-white or lighter nude tip or even a different finish such as gloss tips and matte base.
The Minimalist Milky Chocolate
Opt for a milky chocolate shade for a chic nude alternative in either a gloss or matte finish.
