The Tanning Product I Didn’t Expect to Love This Much
I don’t say this lightly, especially as someone who has tried more tanning products than I can count (even though I have brown skin, I love being a bit more golden), but the Bali Body gradual tanning butter is probably the best one I’ve come across. I find general tanning products so annoying and messy…mousses that develop in hours, tanning drops you mix into moisturizer, sprays that promise instant glow. Some of them are good, but most come with effort. You have to prep properly, exfoliate, use a mitt, wait around, and then hope it fades evenly. There’s always a bit of maintenance involved.
This feels different because it fits into your routine instead of becoming a separate task.
The texture is what makes it stand out straight away. It’s rich and creamy, like a proper body butter. It doesn’t dry down instantly, so you’re not racing against time trying to blend before it sets. It spreads evenly and gives you enough slip to see where you’ve applied it, which massively reduces the chance of streaks.
Because it’s gradual, the color builds in a very natural way. After one application, you look slightly warmer and healthier. After a couple more, you’ve got a proper glow that looks believable. It doesn’t pull orange and it doesn’t look muddy. It just adds warmth in a way that makes your skin look better.
With this, because it’s so hydrating, the color fades much more evenly. Your skin doesn’t dry out while it’s developing, so you’re not left with uneven patches a few days later.
What I love is how low effort it is. You can apply it after showering like you would any body moisturizer. Wash your hands properly afterward and that’s it. You don’t need to carve out time for it. You don’t need to overthink it. It works in the background while you get on with your day.
For me, it’s become one of those products I keep reaching for because it just works. It gives you that healthy, subtle glow without turning it into a whole production. And that’s exactly what I want from a tanning product.
Id be interested to know if this transfers/ leaves stain on bed sheets?? I currently use Gatineau tanning lotion which is pricey but the nicest I’ve ever used. It doesn’t transfer & by the time you’ve finished applying it everywhere & washed your hands you can get dressed straight away.
