The Supplements That Actually Made a Difference This Year

I’m very selective when it comes to supplements. I don’t take anything for the sake of it and definitely not because someone online said it worked for them. A lot of what I started this year was based on blood work and actual deficiencies, especially around low iron and low energy. I’m not advising anyone to take all of this. I’m just sharing what has genuinely helped me, what I’ve seen change, and why I’ve stayed consistent.

Thorne Creatine
This was the first supplement I noticed a clear difference from. Creatine helps your muscles produce energy during strength and resistance training. Once I started lifting heavier, creatine supported muscle strength, recovery and endurance. I wasn’t getting exhausted halfway through a session, and I was able to increase my weights gradually without feeling completely wiped out afterwards. It’s tasteless, mixes easily in water or a shake, and it’s something I take daily without thinking about it. Out of everything I’ve added this year, creatine has supported real progress in the gym.

Gold Standard Double Chocolate Whey Protein
Hitting protein goals makes a visible difference in muscle tone, fullness, recovery and appetite control. I drink one shake a day, always in the morning. The Gold Standard whey blends smoothly and doesn’t taste artificial or chalky, which is why I’ve stuck with it, plus it’s gentle on my stomach. It helps me meet my daily protein target without having to force extra meals or snacks. I recover faster after workouts, I stay fuller during the day, and it supports lean muscle development, specially with weight training.

Cowboy Colostrum
I started this for gut support and immunity, and I’m glad I did. Colostrum contains antibodies and growth factors that help repair the gut lining and reduce inflammation. It seems to be fairly new to the market…I think it’s all the hype in LA but new to the rest of us! The biggest change I noticed was less bloating and far more consistent digestion. I also felt it helped regulate my gut even when my routine was busy or my diet wasn’t perfect. It’s subtle, but you feel the difference over time.
