The Morning Routine That’s Making You Crash By 2pm
I think a lot of people blame getting a 2pm crash on being busy, not sleeping enough, hormones, or just having one of those days. And sometimes that is part of it, but most of the time, the way your morning starts is what sets you up to feel exhausted by the afternoon. I genuinely didn’t believe this until I changed things for myself!
It’s usually not one random thing either. It’s the coffee before food (a habit I’m still trying to break), the rushed breakfast, the lack of protein, not drinking enough water, going straight into messages, work, stress, and then wondering why your body randomly feels like it’s had enough by 2pm.
I used to think energy was just about sleep, but I’ve realized it’s much more than that. Especially as you get older, you can’t always get away with running on coffee, stress and a quick breakfast that doesn’t actually support you.
Starting With Coffee
I love coffee (like, a lot), so this isn’t me saying coffee is bad. I have two coffees a day and I enjoy them. But when I switched to having coffee after breakfast it completely changed how I felt later in the day. I’m still perfecting this…I won’t lie, I still have days where I’m rushed and go straight for the coffee but I know what it does now and what changes I need to make to make things right.
