Face lifts have had a serious rebrand. Gone are the days when the word facelift made you think of someone with razor-sharp cheekbones that never moved, and a jawline so tight it looked like their skin had been wrapped around their skull and stapled at the back…which to be honest kind of was the process. The old-school facelift was all about pulling everything back and unfortunately, most of the time it looked like it had been pulled back.
What we’re seeing now is a full transformation in how people approach facial rejuvenation. It’s no longer about erasing every single line or looking 20 years younger overnight. It’s about harmony and balance. Looking fresher, not totally different. Looking rested, not overly done.
And that’s what the modern facelift is all about.
Look at someone like Lindsay Lohan. She looks amazing. Fresh faced, snatched but soft, and most importantly….she still looks like herself. No puffiness, no overfilled cheeks, no weirdly arched brows. In fact I’d say she looks very far from puffy and filled. Lindsay is a good example of what the modern approach to face lifting is.
