Let me tell you why the Guerlain Terracotta powder blushers have won me over. Firstly, I’ve always loved Guerlain, theres something about this sophisticated beauty brand that reminds me of ‘quiet luxury’. They always seem to get it right with makeup and quietly release new collections without having to shout about it.
The quality of Guerlain makeup never disappoints. I tried all of the shades on and my favorites were the light and deep Coral and surprisingly, the deep Pink! I don’t usually wear deep Pink blush, however after trying this particular blush, I have to admit it’s grown on me rather quickly!
Texture - It’s an ultra fine pressed powder that sweeps onto skin with just the right amount of color payoff. There is hardly any fall out from this blush so you won’t find a ridiculous amount of excess powder on your brush each time you use it. Usually I need to dust the excess powder off on the back of my hand or a tissue to avoid too much color on my cheeks but there’s no need with the Guerlain Terracotta blush. It’s the perfect balanced with a light and airy texture.
Wearability - What I love about this blush is how transparant it is and how it gives a delicate veil of color to the skin. If you a want second-skin type finish then this is it! After wearing the blush for a minimum of 6 hours, I can say I was so impressed with how it looked at the end of the day. It was still visible but with a natural finish.
Shades - The Guerlain Makeup Creative Director: Violette, designed a palette of 6 blush shades, drawing her inspiration from the original spectrum of the earth. There are 6 shades that can be worn to match your complexion and your personal preferences: 3 tones, nude, pink and coral, each available in 2 intensities: light and dark, ensuring theres a match for all skin tones.
00 Light Nude: a fresh and delicate beige pink.
01 Light Pink: a soft and elegant bluish pink.
02 Light Coral: a velvety apricot, set off with a subtle hint of pink.
03 Deep Nude: a deep rosy brown.
04 Deep Pink: a mysterious plum pink.
05 Deep Coral: a vibrant and warm coral.
What’s inside? The blush formula is made up of 90% naturally-derived ingredients. Argan oil, which is a signature ingredient in the Terracotta line, gives the velvet feel of the texture, which keeps your skin feeling soft, silky and comfortable throughout the day.
Thanks for your review. I haven't bought too many blush items because I wasn't sure what was the best. I want to use good healthy makeup on my face. I appreciate your review it's complete and explains why. Others are not so forthcoming as you are.
Very good article. This reminds me of the Covergirl Tru Blend High Pigment Blushes. They are very good too. I tried them. Also my old favorites the Covergirl Cheekers. ❤️
