The dreaded chore of cleaning your makeup sponge
Let’s be honest: when was the last time that you washed your makeup sponge?
As much as we hate to admit it, I think a lot of us are guilty of not washing our makeup sponges regularly enough. I’m going to explain in detail exactly how you should be washing your makeup sponge, and no, it doesn’t involve the washing machine.
The more often you wash your makeup sponge, the many benefits it has, including less difficulty in cleaning and the most obvious, which is bacteria buildup, which can cause breakouts.
I would recommend cleaning your sponge every few days in order to avoid a time-consuming cleaning session. The more often you clean your sponge, the quicker the cleaning sessions will be. The longer that you leave makeup on your sponge, the more it settles in and becomes much harder to remove.
