Mornings can feel like a battlefield on the best of days…add kids to the mix and I’m sure it’s on another level! Whatever your morning battlefield looks like, I wanted to put together a Beauty Breakfast Club routine that should help you feel like you’re part of something and most importantly, putting yourself first for a change.
The first moments of the day set the tone for everything that follows. So, embrace this morning routine that nourishes your mind and body, leaving you feeling radiant and ready to conquer your day.
Beauty:
Hydration: Start your day with a glass of water infused with lemon to flush out toxins.
Glow: While your water works its magic, cleanse your face with a gentle cleanser. That’s all you really need to clean your skin in the morning, I’d stick to exfoliating in the evening to rid the days build up.
Moisturize & Protect: Apply a lightweight moisturizer and SPF to protect your skin from the sun's rays. You can even add a drop of facial oil for extra glow and hydration.
Ice & Contour: For a natural flush and to lift your facial contours, use an ice globe for a few minutes. This is great to wake up your skin (and you!) and tighten your pores. It’s pretty unbelievable how sculpted this makes your face look! Any ice globe works that you can purchase from most beauty stores, it’s basically a steel ball that you keep in the freezer and use whenever you need it.
Productivity:
Breathe: Step outside and (even if it’s cold) just breathe in some fresh air for a few minutes. This will wake up your body and mind, promoting focus and energy.
Quiet: Spend 5-10 minutes in meditation or journaling. This allows you to set your intentions for the day, prioritize your tasks, and clear your mind for optimal focus. I spend 5 minutes writing in my journal and it’s been a game changer for my morning start.
Brain Boost: Fuel your brain with a healthy breakfast rich in protein and fiber. Skip the sugary cereals and opt for eggs, avocado toast, or a smoothie packed with fruits and greens.
Plan Your Day: Take 10 minutes to plan your day. Make a to-do list, prioritize tasks, and set realistic goals. This will give you a sense of direction and control, reducing stress and boosting productivity.
Remember, you are beautiful, you are capable, and you have the power to create a day that is both productive and fulfilling!
