Let’s talk skincare ingredients. Because by the time you’re in your 40s, you’ve probably collected a whole load of creams and serums that once promised you everything from erasing fine lines to transforming your skin overnight.

Most of the time I find that majority of creams and serums just make your routine more complicated or just don’t feel right for your skin.

Here’s a breakdown of the anti-aging ingredients that are actually worth it, and a few you can skip or at least stress less about.

The Ingredients Worth Your Time and Money

1. Retinol (or any form of Vitamin A)

This is still the gold standard and still unmatched. Retinol increases cell turnover, boosts collagen, and improves texture, tone, fine lines, and breakouts….if you’re consistent.
