Ever since Tarte Shape Tape Concealer created its own pedestal in my makeup area, I don’t think I’ve actually found a concealer that has lived up to the coverage, the staying power, and the overall flawless finish.
I love my Tarte Shape Tape concealer. It’s reliable, always gives me 100%, stays put until I decide to remove it, and never gives me a reason to complain. However, there’s something at the back of my mind telling me that I should find something better. Not because there’s anything wrong with my Tarte shape tape, but if I’m honest, then I guess I’m a little bored. I want something fresh, something new, that ticks all the same boxes as my Tarte Shape Tape concealer, but more.
Well, it looks like I found something. It hasn’t knocked my Tarte Shape Tape off its pedestal, but it has firmly taken its place right next to it on that very same pedestal. Meet the Surratt Dew Drops Concealer. This concealer contains a powerhouse of skin-loving ingredients that kind of feel like I’ve tailored it just for me. It’s creamy, buildable, and hydrating (thanks to Hyaluronic Acid), especially around the eye area. It retains moisture in the skin, which is also perfect for the delicate eye area. It’s brightening, which, let’s be honest, is kind of what we want from any concealer, and it also does depend on the shade that you select, so for me, this is kind of expected from any good-quality concealer. It contains retinol to soften fine lines, which is amazing; however, be careful when wearing this out in the sun (double up with SPF underneath). Green tea extract and caffeine help reduce puffiness, as does vitamin C, which improves skin texture. Last but not least, it’s packed with my favourite ingredient ever, niacinamide, to fight discoloration. Needless to say, the more you wear this concealer, the better your skin gets.
It has a sponge tip, which I usually steer clear of, as any sponge tip product I’ve used before has always gotten pretty messy and ended up looking like a hot mess. This one, however, seems to stay looking pristine and put together. I’d highly recommend trying this; it may just surprise you.
That’s so neat! Yes the makeup today is so advanced in good skin ingredients it’s unbelievable! I’m into skincare too and good makeup products that I can trust. Also it’s good to experiment different concealers or foundations to see what works best for your skin.
Been looking for a new concealer! I love that the Surrat concealer is also good for our skin! I’m going to have to buy it soon. Thanks Nina. 🫶🏼🙂
