As the new year begins, it's a great time to set goals and start off on a productive note. I've put together an easy approach on how to set your goals.
Start by setting clear and specific goals for what you want to achieve in the new year. It's important to make sure these goals are SMART in order to increase the likelihood of success. Approaching your goals with the SMART method ensures you are thinking through each goal.
SMART goals are:
Specific
Measurable
Attainable
Realistic
Time-bound
Take the time to define exactly what you want to achieve in the new year. Hopefully, this should help you when you get started on setting your goals:
Break down your goals into smaller, manageable tasks: Create a roadmap for achieving your goals by breaking them down into smaller, actionable tasks.
Create a schedule or plan. Set aside dedicated time in your calendar to work on your goals and prioritize them.
Stay focused and minimize distractions: Turn off notifications or put your phone on silent mode to minimize interruptions while working on your goals.
Reward Your Progress:
Once you have set your SMART goals, it's important to establish a plan to work towards completing them. Break down your goals into smaller, manageable tasks, and create a schedule to allocate dedicated time for each task. By evaluating and monitoring your progress regularly, you can stay on track and make necessary adjustments along the way. It's crucial to stay focused and minimize distractions by reducing interruptions.
Having tried the SMART system myself, I can honestly say it's made goal-setting much easier for me. Rather than writing random goals that seem so farfetched, I've learned to break a goal down into bite-sized and achievable mini-goals that are much easier to approach.
Hopefully, this helps you!
Thank you for this Nina, it’s very helpful as I have started a new business recently so have lots of things going on.❤️
