New Makeup On My Beauty Desk

I love it when a few new makeup launches land on my desk and they’re actually interesting enough to make me want to sit down and play with them. Not everything new feels exciting, and I’m definitely much harder to impress than I used to be, but these are a few bits I’ve been trying that are worth talking about.

Some are very easy, some I feel I need to use for a bit longer, but these are the new makeup products currently on my beauty desk.

Charlotte Tilbury Exagger-Eyes Eyeshadow Pencils

I’ve always loved the idea of eyeshadow pencils because they feel like the kind of product that should make life easier. Quick swipe, blend with your finger, done…this video is actually on my Instagram here.

These Charlotte Tilbury ones have that creamy, ultra glidey texture you want from an eyeshadow pencil. They don’t feel dry or scratchy on the lid, and they give you enough time to blend before they start to set.

The finish is really pretty. It gives that soft, polished eye without needing to do a full eyeshadow look. You can wear it lightly and just smudge it out for something easy, or build it a bit more if you want the eye to look more defined.

There are matte and shimmer shades available and both are really pretty. This is the kind of product I’d reach for when I want my makeup to look like I made an effort with minimal effort.
