Makeup Hacks For The Over 40s Club
Let’s just say it how it is…makeup in your 40s sits different.
Your skin isn’t the same as it was at 25. It moves differently, and it holds product differently. It reflects light differently, and if you’re still applying makeup the way you did when you were 25…that’s probably why it feels like it’s not working.
These are the hacks I genuinely use, and are small changes that make a big difference.
1. Keep Eyeshadow Close to the Lash Line
If you want an easy eye look that won’t crease or emphasize texture, stop placing product all over the lid. Instead, take a cream eyeshadow on the tip of your finger and smudge it directly into the lash line. Keep it tight and close. Then add mascara. That’s literally it!
When shadow sits right at the lash line, it defines the eye without sitting on the part of the lid that tends to crease. It gives depth without heaviness. And because you’re not packing product onto the center of the lid, it won’t fold into lines as the day goes on. It’s so effortless and it works.
