It's ok to put yourself first
Ignoring criticism can be difficult but putting yourself first shouldn't be.
Let's chat about something that's super important but often easier said than done: putting yourself first and ignoring the critics.
Let's face it, in a world that's constantly buzzing with opinions and expectations, it's easy to get caught up in the noise and forget about yourself. Whether it's a relative questioning your life choices or the little voice in your head planting doubts, criticism can creep in from all angles.
Here's the deal: putting yourself first isn't selfish – it's necessary. Just like you can't pour from an empty cup, you can't be your best self if you're constantly neglecting your own needs and desires.
There’s always people who seem to have something to say about your choices, whether it's your career path, relationships, or even your dress sense. Here's what you need to know… their opinions don't define you.
Here's the thing about critics – they're often projecting their own insecurities onto you. So, instead of taking their words to heart, take them with a grain of salt and keep doing you. Remember, you're the author of your own story, and you get to decide how it unfolds. So why waste time worrying about what others think?
Now, I'm not saying it's easy to ignore criticism – trust me, I've been there. But here's a little secret: the more you practice putting yourself first and prioritizing your own happiness, the less those critics' voices will matter. It's like building up a mental shield of self-confidence and self-love – nothing can penetrate it!
So, the next time someone tries to rain on your parade with their unsolicited opinions, just smile, nod, and keep doing your stuff. You've got this. And remember, the only approval you need is your own.
You've got this!
Work hard, play hard and take time for you is my motto. I’ve been hurt but in the end, I like me no matter
Very true. Sometimes at my work place the people complain a lot about other people. I just do my job the best I can. And try to help others as possible. Some are lazy which I’ve seen. Now me I like to do things and move. I can’t stand around and do nothing for 8 hours. It’s not in me. I’m always active and will always be. 🙏🏻👍🏻
