How To Get Makeup to Stay Put in Your 40s
One thing I hear often and completely relate to is how much harder it gets to make makeup stay put once you hit your 40s. It’s not always the same issue that we face in our 40s, it could be that products that used to last all day suddenly slide off after a few hours, foundation starts settling into fine lines, and powders that used to work, now make skin look dry.
The same way our age changes, our skin changes with it…it’s not as balanced as it used to be. It’s drier in some areas, more textured in others, and makeup doesn’t have the same smooth surface to hold onto. I think where a lot of people go wrong is they end up using more makeup when it’s actually about prepping differently and layering smarter.
Start With Skin, Not Foundation
Longevity starts with skin prep. If your skin is dehydrated, makeup won’t grip…it will literally sit on top and wear off faster.
