I’m so glad I’m past all that but fair warning going through menopause makes the monthly thing seem like child’s play.

I had very difficult days in the past. I’m going to peri right now and it has been pleasant compared to today those monthly’s but anything can change. I think these days Drs are more open to helping with this problem. I will say I was raised a bit sheltered and my mom never thought of taking me to the gynecologist because she thought it was something you go after you start having sex. Not knowing how helpful that could have been. So I went thru a lot of suffering when I probably didn’t have to.

It’s a shame because I feel parents are a bit more on top of these things now. I can also only go by my own experience, but I wasn’t really given as much information about it. I also believe my mum was probably trying to figure it out for herself!

Thank you so much for posting this Nina! I'm going through this exact thing at the moment... currently giving into the chocolate craving! I'm learning not to be too hard on myself. Tomorrow is a new day.

🩷Hormones impact so many aspects of our bodies and brains. I feel the monthly changes in my nervous system these days. My doctors are a big help, but what you said is huge for everyone. It is ok to listen to our bodies, and acknowledge the changes we feel. Granted, it’s still annoying.

Hello Nina, I used to get lot of bad cramps and headaches and sometimes my leg cramps. Now I’ve noticed that now I don’t really have cramps or intense food cravings like before when I was younger. I used to feel like eating chicken nuggets or ice cream or chocolate or peanut butter from the jar. I know it’s funny. Or even Chips. I noticed since I’ve been drinking Ryze Mushroom Matcha and Ryze Mushroom Coffee my snack cravings have disappeared. I have more energy at work and I just have my dinner after work instead of a snack around 4:00 like I had before. Even Raspberry Tea helps with PMS symptoms. Helps me relax if I feel nervous before my period. Very rarely I take pamprin for when I have my period. Sometimes I feel lazy with my period. And I just want to relax and chill. I tell my boyfriend Jose. Sweetie I have the Red Flag. That’s a nickname for the period that I thought of. Red Flag means off limits. Lol! 😂
