Full Coverage Foundations That Still Look Like Skin

Full coverage foundation gets a bad rep…because people instantly think of thick, heavy, flat makeup. And to be fair, some full coverage foundations do look like that. You apply it and your skin has completely disappeared under one layer of product.

Not every full coverage foundation looks heavy. The ones I like are the ones that give you coverage, but still let the skin look like skin. They even everything out, cover redness, pigmentation and uneven tone, but they don’t make your face look stiff or overloaded.

The trick is choosing a formula that has coverage but still blends well, then applying it in thin layers instead of treating full coverage like you need the same amount everywhere.

These are the full coverage foundations I think are worth knowing about if you want coverage without that heavy foundation look.

NARS Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation

This is one of those foundations that gives coverage, but still has life to it. That’s what makes it different from a lot of fuller coverage bases.

The texture is quite fluid, so it doesn’t feel too thick when you apply it. It blends easily, but it still gives decent coverage. I like this one when you want your skin to look more perfected, but you don’t want that completely matte, blanked out finish.
