BOOK OF THE MONTH: Wild Courage by Jenny Wood
I did a bit of research last month when it came to finding this book - I wanted something that was kind of self-help but not overly preachy…and after reading several reviews I came across this one. I didn’t know much about it, but within a few pages, I knew it was exactly what I needed right now. It’s honest, easy to read, and feels like a conversation with someone who understands the normal thoughts you have when it comes to self belief or confidence in business.
This book isn’t about big, dramatic changes. It’s about the quiet, uncomfortable shifts we go through in life and mainly business. It talks about choosing yourself without making it some huge, public statement…or offending people which happens more frequently these days. Just small, brave decisions…one at a time, that start to change your life.
There’s no fluff or fake empowerment with this book. The author Jenny, doesn’t pretend to have all the answers, and that’s actually what makes it powerful. She writes in a way that makes you feel like it’s okay to not have it all figured out. And more than that, she reminds you that it’s never too late to do something differently.
One part that really stuck with me was when she wrote about outgrowing situations you once worked hard to be part of. Because I think so many of us do that - we push and push to get into a certain space, only to realise it doesn’t actually align anymore. This book gives you permission to walk away from those spaces without guilt.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, disconnected from yourself, or just tired of the pressure to be on all the time - Wild Courage is worth reading…it’s almost kind of grounding. It makes you pause and reflect, but it doesn’t make you feel like the changes you’re about to make become a project.
It’s a reminder that softening doesn’t mean giving up. That choosing rest, boundaries, or simply saying no can be just as powerful as any goal-chasing hustle.
Let me know if you read it!
