12 Easy Organizing Hacks For Your Beauty Space
This helped me turn chaos into calm and I finally found my favourite lipstick.
The other day I sat in my beauty room (I’m well aware not everyone has a whole room, but it’s my job) and I had a moment. That uncomfortable, annoying feeling when you suddenly realize the space around you is a complete mess. You can’t think straight until it’s dealt with and even though you have a million things on your to-do list, you have the compulsive urge to just do it now. Everything else is just going to have to wait.
There were foundations I haven’t touched in two years sitting next to five half used mascaras, a pile of brushes I ‘meant to clean’ three weeks ago and lip liners hiding in random drawers. It was the kind of clutter that makes your brain feel like it’s buffering.
So I cleared my day and got started. Once I finished, I realised just how much of a difference a few small systems can make. Not Pinterest-perfect, not influencer-level aesthetic. Just functional. These are the 12 organising hacks that genuinely fixed the chaos, and each one is built around a problem most of you will have!
1.
THE PROBLEM: You’re only using the same 5 products on repeat…not because you love them, but because they’re the only ones you can see.
THE FIX: Create a weekly face tray.
Each week, I rotate a small tray of products I want to use more of, like the ones I’ve forgotten, new bits I’ve been meaning to try, or things that fit my schedule that week (e.g. cream blushes on no-foundation days). It helps me avoid falling into a rut and reminds me what I actually love.
2.
THE PROBLEM: Your drawers are overflowing and somehow still disorganized.
THE FIX: Sort by function, not by category.
Instead of one drawer for blush and one for concealer, I now have drawers for daily complexion, evening glam, and go-to tools. It mimics how I actually do my face. Grouping by use-case makes decision-making faster and far less stressful.
